Boomtown Fair focuses on tent sustainability with ‘Pick Up A Pop Up’

In the spirit of innovation and sustainability, Tents at Events has partnered with Boomtown to deliver the ‘Pick Up A Pop Up’ tent model at Boomtown 2019.

With an estimated 250,000 tents being abandoned across the UK each year, Tents at Events is challenging the monopoly of cheap tent retailers, such as Argos, Tesco and Amazon, by taking responsibility for getting their tents back out of the field with a £10 buy-back incentive.

With these tents already priced to match RRP in the shop, it’s a no brainer really!

On top of this, the model has the additional benefits of no longer carrying a tent to and from the festival, reducing search times at the gates and removes the burden of ownership from the festival-goer, to the retailer.

With the push of Blue Planet, Extinction Rebellion and the Take Your Tent Home/No to Single Use AIF campaign, the time is ripe for innovation in the events sector.
